Four years ago, my closest friend Ralitsa asked me to accompany her to a competition for participation in the Young Roma Teachers project. Don’t give up! – The story of Elena Dimitrova, Dalgopol

In the small town of Dalgopol, where time seemed to stand still, lived a girl with big dreams and an indomitable spirit. She was born into a family that kept its good name and stuck to tradition. And they dictated that education was not a necessity for girls. Rather, they should strive for a successful marriage, raising children and maintaining the household. But despite the norms and expectations her family imposed on her, she had her own views on how to make her life fulfilling. This lady didn’t give up easily, even when the path to her dreams seemed impossible. Her story is an inspiration to all who have ever felt lost but never lost hope.

Children’s portfolio – a useful tool for partnership between kindergarten and family

High quality early learning and care approaches start from the understanding that parents and other family members are the most important people in any child’s life. They are the people who are involved in their growth, learning and development from birth; they provide the cultural and value system for their socialisation. 5 REYN Successful Practice Sharing events were held

Local and regional events for sharing successful practices were successfully held again this year, under the programme of the REYN Network. Four local and one regional event were organized in the cities of Plovdiv, Asenovgrad, Levski and Byala Cherkva, by Kindergarten “Happy Childhood”, National Community Center “Rodolyubie – 1873”, Kindergarten “Sun” and Kindergarten “Atanas Nedelchev”. REPORT ON THE ACTIVITIES OF THE NETWORK FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT IN THE ROMA COMMUNITY IN BULGARIA 2021-2022

  1. MISSION AND OBJECTIVES OF THE NETWORK

The Network for Early Childhood Development in the Roma Community in Bulgaria (the Network) was established in January 2018 and is coordinated by the Trust for a Social Achievement Foundation. The network aims to support professionals working with minority children, increase the scope and quality of services provided, and strives to unite the efforts of its members in this direction. The network also supports the development of role models from the Roma community itself.
