ISSA’s Connects for Learning 2023 International Conference on “Striving for quality early childhood services for children experiencing adverse contexts” was held in Opatija, Croatia, bringing together ISSA Members from across Europe, Central Asia and even further afield.

Local and regional events for sharing successful practices were successfully held again this year, under the programme of the REYN Network. The National Coordinator of the REYN Bulgaria Network – Gabriela Tosunova is the topper of the class of 2018/2022 at the Faculty of Law and History of the Southwestern University “Neofit Rilski”.

On July 13-14, the Trust for Social Alternative (TSA) held a two-day seminar in the town of Lukovit for the international exchange of experience on the topic “Role models at an early age” with organizations from: Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Belgium, as well as with a number of representatives of the Bulgarian educational institutions. A representative of the International Association “Step by Step” (MASS), which finances the event within the framework of the program for the exchange of experience between the MASS member organizations, will also present at the event. The Network for Early Childhood Development in the Roma Community in Bulgaria (the Network) was established in January 2018 and is coordinated by the Trust for a Social Achievement Foundation. The network aims to support professionals working with minority children, increase the scope and quality of services provided, and strives to unite the efforts of its members in this direction. The network also supports the development of role models from the Roma community itself.
