Nature of the internship program<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

The current internship program is an initiative of the Network for early childhood development in the Roma community REYN Bulgaria, coordinated by the Foundation “Trust for a Social Achievement” (TSA). The program aims to provide an opportunity for Roma students from various majors to gain practical skills for working in kindergartens working with vulnerable communities.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

By participating in the internship program, students will gain a realistic view and experience in a possible field of professional realization for them after completing higher education. This will help them get to know their inner motivation, interests and goals in relation to the major they are studying. We expect that internships will also contribute to improving the quality of services offered by kindergartens and thus lead to increased support for the “early role models” approach.<\/p>\n

The program will be implemented by non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to which this competition is directed. NGOs work in partnership with kindergartens (KDs) working with vulnerable communities, which KDs are willing and interested in providing additional internship opportunities for educated and qualified young people of Roma origin in specialties such as preschool pedagogy, nursing, speech therapy, psychology and others . NGOs and DGs apply with a concept describing the desired positions, the objectives of the internship, and the candidate recruitment plan.<\/p>\n

After approval and conclusion of a contract with TSA, NGOs and DG conduct a competition among students. In May 2022, NGOs, DGs and students attend a two-day training session to negotiate each country’s goals, activities, internship schedule and roles. The deadline for internships is September 30, 2022.<\/p>\n

Eligible candidates\/partners:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eligible candidates under the invitation are members of the Network for early childhood development in the Roma community REYN Bulgaria*, which are non-profit legal entities. Submission of more than one concept by each applicant is not permitted.<\/p>\n

Eligible partners are kindergartens working with children from vulnerable communities, members of the Network for early childhood development in the Roma community REYN Bulgaria* and which are not “basic” kindergartens.<\/p>\n

Requirements and criteria for students to be included in the internship program:<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the approval of the application by the TSA, NGOs must conduct a competition for the selection of interns. The competition is held by convening a commission consisting of representatives of at least NGOs and DGs.<\/p>\n
