A group of eight people attended the ISSA Connects for Learning 2023 Conference

ISSA’s Connects for Learning 2023 International Conference on “Striving for quality early childhood services for children experiencing adverse contexts” was held in Opatija, Croatia, bringing together ISSA Members from across Europe, Central Asia and even further afield.

 

“Trust for Social Alternatives” Foundation attended the conference with a group of eight people, including Evgenia Volen, Martina Drobenova and Gabriela Tosunova (Director, Programme Coordinator and Early Learning and Care Programme Assistant), two successfully graduated and realized educators of the TSA program “Teacher in my community” – Raya Simeonova and Desislava Dimitrova, two trainers of the program “Embracing Diversity” – Zlatina Marincheva and Albena Boneva, and the executive director of the Foundation “For Children at Risk around the world” – Rositsa Petrova.

 

 

Eugenia Volen – Director of the Early Learning and Care Programme and REYN Bulgaria – presented the project “Teacher in my Community” in front of a large audience of over 100 international members and organizations.

From 26-28 September 2023, the conference covered topics on:

Quality and Effective Early Childhood Services;
Increasing the focus on Roma and Traveller children;
Quality framework – next steps – quality informal services and quality continuing professional development;
On the power and potential of the Network to create impact for young children and more;

Over the three days of the conference, participants challenged each other, exchanged experiences, generated exciting new ideas and forged valuable partnerships.
